running out of fabric

Jan 14, 2008 7 Replies

This is the person who posted sometime last week about being a lurker for about ten years. I have learned a lot from all of you during that time, including the fact that there is a place where you can post when you are looking for fabric. I am making a zoo quilt from the book Patchwork Quilts to make for Children by Margaret Rolfe. I have reached the last row but now discover that I need at least another 1/2 yard of the background material. It is called Blue Bird of Happiness style 751 color 77. Benartex lists it as 'discontinued'. The place where I bought it has none left. Could someone please tell me how to get to this 'missing fabric' site? TIA. Larchie.

Voila! Ask and you shall find. Beautiful fabric... I used to have some. Please share your photos when the quilt is finished. :)

or you might want to contact :

Old Times, 954 N. Main, Princeton, IL 61356. The phone is

815-872-9841. If you send them a swatch or a picture they will try to match it for you.

They have lots and lots of fabric, past and current lines.

Good luck!

Mary
