Gosh, I'll guess I'll have to buy the book too. Looks like it has great patterns from a number of designers. It's from 1999. Maybe lots of templates? It would give me great practice in EQ to copy some of the patterns so I can paper-piece them.

However, due to the difficulty in measuring this minute amount my birds will be flying fast, and I will use paper piecing, especially as DH has just read this last sentence and commented 'Will you be able to get the points to match properly if you bodge round it?'. I have to muzzle him at shows because he checks everyone's matching points and any wobbles in Ditch Stitching. I am going to make him a Badge with Quilt Police on it next time!

Sheesh! Make the geese the larger number/size and just adjust the triangles around them to "make" it fit..... Men!!! Do I need to make a block from real fabric to prove it can be done? VBEG!!!

My EQ lesson included lifting the straight geese, carrying them across the block and making them diagonal and turning them round to face the right way,(ie - the same triangles.) so I learnt a lot, even if it took me the whole evening. They looked ok on the picture, and with the background being the same colour throughout it would hide a multitude of sins!

It would look pretty as a Christmas wall hanging with a dark background, and would use lots of scraps.

Thanks for finding that Leslie, being able to look at that confirms the construction of the corners was how I guessed :-).

Hi Leslie, that's fairly much what I got by calculating it, I got 3: 2 and an eight, I guess the bigger you get the more significant that eight would become.
