Looky at my mud pies!

Ok, a couple of you suggested I post pics of my very, very, very unfinished and still in progress Red project. It's rough, guys. I have never attempted anything like this before and I'm really not sure how it will turn out. But I'm having more fun that I've ever had on a project before. This is like being a kid with a box of new crayons and as much white paper as I want. Soooooooooooooooo, here's the pics and please understand that it's so rough and not the way it will turn out. I hope.

OH WOW they look such FUN!

rough or not they look great!

and don't worry if you change your mind about something you have shown - quilts evolve and like to change their minds often so may eventually reject something you have shared with us - we will enjoy seeing the quilt decide what it wants to be no matter what changes during the process of discovery!

LOL! I totally love the whimsy of the round building against the sinister feel of the more 'conventional' grandma's house. The "irresistibly tacky glitz" of the sign advertising it is oh so alluring...what bumpkin could stay away? Heehee! I can practically see it flashing... Since mud has a way of rubbing off, I need to go play with a 30s repro. Thanks, Sunny! chipper ;)

Chezzzzz, here I was looking for a picture of some chocolate cream pie! I was going to ask you what you wanted us over for tea/coffee and pie. All I get is a bunch of quilts! ;o) lol Thanks for sharing. They all look nice to me!

Fascinating. You are definitely thinking outside the box (as they say). So glad you are having fun. This does look like textile art to me! Keep on having a ball. It'll be so exciting to see it as you progress. . In message , Sunny writes

Wow, you're all so kind. LOL This is fun. I don't know if it's going to make it to the guild show, but it's a hoot and now I'm hooked. I need to start a "regular" quilt as a gift for a friend, but settling down to 3 5/8 half square triangles and 42 2" flying geese is just not working for me. Sunny

Sunny, I really admire your courage in doing this! I'm much too "controlled" to attempt anything this far outside the box, and I can't wait to see what else you come up with to add to what you've shown us today. What fun! :)
