Wow this 7 YO boys WISH is to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for getting the most birthday cards. He'll turn 8 years old on May



30th, and he needs to get over one million cards!

I think we can help him w/that....he's not even specifying what kind like store bought or hand made....to me hand made means a bit more! I keep all my cards I ever get....somehow I think that's how I started scrapbooking...oh Ma has saved a bunch of cards too from when my DB was born before me, Wedding Cards, my birth cards I found them stored in an old paper bag in her dresser drawer so now they are safe in a plastic storage box from MICHAEL'S!

Recently, one of our retailers contacted us about 7-year-old Shane. Shane has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently at the Children's Hospital in Ontario, where he'll undergo chemotherapy until June. When the Make-a-Wish Foundation asked Shane what his special wish would be, he wished to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for getting the most birthday cards. He'll turn 8 years old on May 30th, and he needs to get over one million cards!



Want to help? Send a birthday card (or two) to Shane by May 30th at the address below. Please help if you can-I imagine this is a pretty big deal for a kid who's gone through much more than anyone should ever have to.

Being a suspicious soul (and having heard about this sort of thing MANY times before, often years after it was actually wanted...), I checked this one out on Snopes... and it says that this time it's actually true. So take a minute to send the kid a card... and if you can write French he'll be able to read it for himself. :)

Not a problem, if you send the cards to the CTV address as it is one of the national networks and so they will be getting his mail AND dealing with the problems if the mail continues. I almost wish they hadn't included his home address at all!
