DH and I are going to be in Seattle next weekend, buying a bicycle he can use for commuting to work. REI is pretty much in the center of Seattle. And we're spending Friday night in Issaquah.
So, my friends on the green side of the mountain, where should I go for a couple of really good quilt stores? We're taking in the Gee's Bend show at a gallery there on Saturday. I'm really excited.
Whoo-hoo!! Mini-shop hop Saturday afternoon? LOL Seriously, if you have time, I'd love to get together, even just for coffee. (Can't come to Seattle and not have coffee!)
Eclectic, and a bit pricey, and mostly done quilts for sale. Fun for browsing:

I've not been here, but it is close to downtown:

Also close to downtown, and one of my favorite places. It's not strictly a quilt shop, as it has upholstery and garment fabric as well, but you can get some killer deals sometimes:

In Renton, close to the Fred Meyer:

Further south, in DesMoines, a really nice shop that I frequent:

My LQS (even further south):

On the east side (Issaquah, Bellevue, Kirkland) - none of which I've actually been to, I'm sure there are some. Put Quilt+'city name' into google. That should find you something.
TerriLee in WA (state) (45 minutes south of downtown Seattle)
There is QuiltworksNW in downtown Bellevue. There is a studio in Issaquah "Quilt with Mo", but it's more classes, though she does sell Moda, I think. There is a Hancocks in Kirkland. Also, Gathering Fabrics in Woodinville, I like that one and further north, Keepsake Cottage in Bothell.
I'm a book junkie, so one of these days, I hope to get to Martingale Books (That Patchwork Place) & take the tour & buy "damaged" books. Maybe you can fit this in on your trip.
