Wheel Throwing in Seattle

Hey everyone! I'm new to this list so I apologize for any faux pas.

I looked through the archives, but only found relative discussions from 1997 - 2000.

I am looking for a place to do wheel-throwing - whether it be through classes or by joining a studio. I mostly just want to make my own stuff and be able to take it home with me. Does anyone have any recommendations for the Seattle area circa 2007? I know nothing about the science of glazes or kiln operation, I just want to make stuff!

THANKS!

We even have classes here in Alabama so you should be in fine shape there looking for a community or regular college. At my age, I can get the class free! So check into it! Best, Sue

I sugget that you go to Seattle Pottery Supply and talk to them. They know what they're doing and are good people, in my experience.

If you want a specific name to talk to who's an experienced and expert potter who taught me all of the most important stuff I know, e-mail me directly at spunkythetuna at earthlink dot net.

I know there's quite a few good places to do that, but I don't know the name of it. However, if you're ever in charlotte, NC, Stretch's Gallery is THE place to go!

Hi there,

I am located in Everett but I am aware of some stuff around Seattle.

As someone else mentioned try Seattle Pottery Supply. Also try Pottery Northwest
