Singer 222k happy dance

I am so excited!!! I found a wonderful Singer 222k for $350. OK, it has a 220v motor but what a great price! It is in excellent condition with the manual, attachments, oil can, darning foot w/darning ring and case. I am dieing to sew on this little cutie but, alas, I don't have a converter. I am thinking I will switch out the motor for a 110v. I have polished it and cleaned the case. Set it on every counter in my sewing room, shown it to everyone but the UPS man!!! LOL

Anyway, thanks for letting me share,

Enjoy this little gem. My DH has purchased several on e-Bay; one even came complete with converter. Congratulations!

Wow, Marsha -- what a steal. You got a super buy on that one. The 222k is an awsome machine - I have one but I paid more than you! LOL

Thanks everyone. It is nice to have a group that really understands the excitement of a "new" sewing machine. It is such a neat little machine. I had one but traded it for a Bernina 931 (that I had sold to this person). I wanted that 931 back, it is in excellent condition and I really missed it. Well then I missed my 222k, which wasn't in very good condition, so I thought I would bide my time and surely something would turn up. And it did!! I just wish I could sew on it.

Thanks again for letting me share,

I have a Singer 22K but it isn't in good condition. I would like to sell it if I can get a good price for it. You were lucky to find one at such a great price. Thanks for sharing your find, Anne
