Slowing down now

Jelly beans! That's better than DH calling them eggs..and naming it the Easter Quilt. I wasn't terribly unhappy with how it looks with it slapped up on the wall. But I have been playing with it so there is now a bit of a gradation going from light at the top to dark at the bottom. I'll have to let that sit for a while and see if it grows on me.

Okay, I've done a few circles and have to admit I'm not enamoured with the technic. Maybe it's that I don't like glue sticks. Had trouble getting the freezer paper off. I like the results, but don't know that I'd want to do 100's of them. Perhaps I'll leave that to Kathyl (KJ).

The one thing I learned is to try to not get the glue off the fabric on the second glueing. Try to keep it just inside the 1/8" fold over area. And also leave the clipped tails pretty long so you can hold on to them as you pull the freezer paper out. But all in all, they do NOT pull off as easily as the video shows!

This is absolutely gorgeous, and so different! I may have missed the answer to this already, but are the ovals all appliqued? What a lot of work! The color combinations are outstanding.
