Spring cleaning

Must of been on your end Polly cause I remember that Jill made a post about it that she has surpassed the 5,000 mark on her furbabies quilts.

Thank you, Cindy. I wanted to be sure everybody was remembering what to do with fabric that was only taking up space. Hard to think about spring cleaning here with a Yorkie whose goal in life seems to be to stomp in every mud puddle in the Swamp. Why didn't we get a Chihuahua? Polly

Try having a 140lb retreiver instead ;) He has lost some weight though..... now down to 120lbs.

Or how about a 30 pound dachshund? Yes, you read that correctly. He was "supposed" to be between 10-12 pounds. I"m thinking the breeder lied. He is the biggest dachshund that I've ever seen.

Wellllll, I thought about cleaning up my sewing/work room, but, ummmmmmm........the door is closed and I'm not sure I'm supposed to break the seals on that yellow crime scene tape. I'll get back to you with a progress report after I contact the proper authorities.

I have a friend who puts up crime tape on her kids' bedroom doorways when it's time to get serious about getting them cleaned up.

Fortuately, or unfortunately, whichever way you want to look at it our 'little' boys weight problem is due to a thyroid condition which also comes with other heath issues in addition to the wieght gain. Once we get him down to a resonable wieght however he should be good to go. Problem was that he go WAY out of control before we realized what it was and he was actually diagnosed fairly young when it comes to thyroid problems. He is only 3yrs old and was diagnosed over a year ago, apparently most goldens with this problem aren't diagnosed until around now (3yrs old)...... he would have been 160lbs by now!!!! In another 5 months or so between his meds and the diet food he should be down to a more normal wieght for his frame, of around 90lbs. Maybe then he'll finally jump in the darn Jeeps!

Well, Polly!! I found the top of me craft/cutting table yesterday!!! I am doing HSR (horizontal surface reclamation) I had a clear top & was calling & telling EVERY ONE that would listen!! Today it is filled back up with quilt, fabric, sharp rotary cutters & scissors. Things that SHOULD be there!! Nana thanks for the incentive!!:-)

LOVE that term HSR! Going to tell DH about that! Thanks. :-)

You are welcome, but I can't take credit for it! A lady over at alt support clutter coined the term!! But I have always liked it because in me house ANY horizontal surface attracts stuff!! Lots of it:-)

My box for Jill made it to the post office today, the postmaster didn't notice the ants dotting the shipping tape. It is so nice to have the bin where I keep backing rid of all the pieces that were too small. But ! I really didn't mean to suggest that we needed to get into horizontal surface reclamation. Very unfortunately, my cutting table is a direct target for anyone coming in the door from the driveway. Several times a day, I have to clear it of things that need to be somewhere else. Wasn't it Pogo who said, "We have met the enemy and it is us" ? Polly
