Stash Organization

Well, the reds are done. Large pieces are pressed and folded. Smaller pieces are cut into 2.5" strips or squares of 2.5", 3.5" or 4.5". Pinkish pieces will go with the pinks. The ones that might (?) work on my Birds of a Feather project have moved to that stack.

I have shelves and boxes ready downstairs to hold the reds. Greens are next!

BTW, I think someone has been sneaking fabric into my stash. I have never seen some of those fabrics before! Including the ugliest year

2000 fabric in existence.

It's a little known scientific fact that stash has "rogue cell division" properties. This is the only possible explanation for the "Where the heck did *that* come from?" "I don't remember buying *that!" And the oft repeated lament "OMG, I already have 4 fat quarters of *that*! No wonder I liked it so much." The "rogue cell division" is not your fault, you are not a bad person, you are not unbalanced, there is nothing you can do to stop it. It's a natural phenomena of fabric stash. As soon as I the enormous, lucrative government grant I have applied for is approved for my study I'll let you know and keep you updated on the progress of this neglected field of scientific study.

If you found any 'Sock Monkey meets Jacobean', you don't need to send it to Pami. OTOH, I think Pati C is still hoping for some wee tiny fairies. Polly

It's a redium red fabric with silver sparklies all over, giving it a=20 stiffish texture. 2000 is written in yellow and there are yellow and=20 blue stars. The figures are fairly well spread out. I have a gut=20 feeling that the sparklies would go away in the washing machine.

You are welcome to it, although it has now been reduced to five 2.5"=20 strips, each about 22 > Which 2000 fabric would that be Joan? I

Thanks Val, I've been wondering about this fabric that somehow shows up in my stash. Hope your grant comes true, we need a study. Keep well!
