"noodles"

At our guild auction, I bought a bag of 11 sets of "noodles". These are

2.5" strips of various fabrics that were bundled with 4 strips per "set". I seem to remember a book that was out a while ago that had fabric "noodle" as the concept....the name Debbie Caffrey comes to mind...but I don't know if that's who wrote it. Oh, just "googled" she has a book called "Noodle soup" and a couple books about "a can of worms"....meaning 2.5" strips. Do any of you have the book(s) and can tell me just what was made with a "set"? Before I mix them in with the rest of my strips, I thought it might be nice to see what the original plan was. I might see if our guild's library has them, but thought I'd ask you all first. KJ

I can't help, but I can tell you that 2.5" strips are HOT! Moda is selling 'jelly rolls' of 2.5" strips with their newest fabric lines. Great fun and very versatile. Those books (and maybe another) by Debbie Caffrey are often mentioned, but many traditional patterns can be made with the strips, too. What specifically did you have in mind?

I was curious about the way my strips were bundled. They were called "sets" and each set consists of 4 strips that are cut about 42" long (a crosscut). I wondered if there was a specific pattern that called for these strip sets. Just nosey! I'll probably just add them to my strip stash for now. KJ
