I like to read Patricia Cornwell but it's been quite a while since I've read any - probably haven't read anything of hers in 6 years or so. What have I been doing?

The Mitford Series! I love it!!!! I'm ready for the next one, if it's not already out. I haven't had much time to look lately.

I like most anything. Even Dean Koontz. He is pretty strange though but I like those kind of books. I'm not into science fiction at all.

Oh great post :) I love to read. My favorite author is Lurlene McDaniel but I have all of her books :) Nicholas Sparks. Have all of his except for his new one "The Wedding", I read V.C.Andrews. I have all of hers except for the new ones. There's a lot of new ones compared to what I have LOL. I've also been reading the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson. I have to buy book #3 in that series. My DH and I enjoy Dean Koontz. There's probably plenty more. I just love to read :)

I enjoy the Nicholas Sparks books, James Patterson (I've already read his newest), Danielle Steele (and I haven't read her newest). I'm into mysteries.

Well, I'm personally into Christian fiction a lot. I DON'T like romance novels AT ALL. I love historical fiction and really enjoyed the books I've ready by Mercedes Lackey (although I think I've read them all now!). I like the Little House books and other "place in history" fiction (i'm loving a new set of children's books I've been reading about historical events first person). ANyway, that's me :)

OOH! I love those books. When I was pregnant I would read my Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul 2 and I would cry for every story! I also have A 5th Portion of Chicken Soup for the Soul and Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul. What about you - maybe we could swap if you have different ones:) I could read all of them over and over.

Wow! You have quite a list! Well, maybe after the holidays we could swap the first CS for the Woman's Soul and the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th CS for the soul for my 5th CS for the soul and CS for the kid's soul. I don't want to swap now in case I lose them in the holiday shuffle. If we wait until after the first of the year, things will be calmer - I hope!! Thanks Tabitha! You're so sweet.

Sounds great :) Yeah I wouldn't want to lose my books either :) Your very welcome :) *smiles* Thank you :) I used to swap books with a friend of mine in NJ but we don't do it anymore. It stopped when I moved to FL, but we still talk though :)

I saw that you like the American Girl Books.. What are they about? I've seen them in the bookstore. I think one of my friends in middle school used to like their stuff. I love reading young adult and kids books. I can't wait till Abby is able to read :)

They are basically history books but the stories are interesting for young girls, which encourages them to read. They have different age levels and I just bought 3 of them for DD for Christmas. She is 4 and writing and one of them is Hallie's Horrible Handwriting - it talks about how she doesn't like her handwriting and then she sees that everyone has sloppy handwriting when they first start.

I can't wait for her to get a little older so we can read the older books. Next year she'll be able to participate in the American Girl club at her school. They read and talk about all sorts of things like how to talk to your friends, parents, teachers, etc. - even talk about personal hygiene and girlie stuff like that.

Sounds interesting :) I might just have to go to the library and see if they have any :) Ahhh sounds cute :) I'm sure she will enjoy them :)

Oh I know. I'm always thinking that I can't wait for her to get older and we can do this and this and this :) Oh wow that will be neat for her. Have you gotten any of the dolls for her? I saw a long time ago that they had dolls and paper dolls and stuff for the American Girl :)

Here is a link to their books that have paper dolls in them. They come with all kinds of clothes and accessories to cut out. The dolls are made of hard cardboard material. I will get Hannah one of these when she gets older. She's too young now to play with it and not tear up the doll. I would like to have them to play with for myself!

I just started to learn about the American Girl stuff. You can only get their merchandise through an authorized dealer - except for the dolls - they can only be ordered online, from the catalog, at the Chicago store, or the New York store. Hopefully, I will get to take Hannah to one of those stores one day - maybe Chicago so I can go see Oprah! Did you see her Favorite Things show yesterday? WOW!
