After our talk about the Chicken soup for the soul books I went and pulled out my Chicken Soup for the woman's Soul 2. I saw that I had read the first one :) I have a lot of books on the book shelf that I haven't read but I wanted something sappy and warms the heart kind of book :) So I thought it was time I read this :)

Cool site :) Its funny because when I go to buy stuff for Abby I look at what I can play with too LOL :) We are going to get her some Mega Blocks for Christmas. There are some other things that we want to get her but not sure yet :)

Wow I didn't know that. I've seen stuff at Hallmark and the bookstore. Oh yes I saw Oprah yesterday. Oh my goodness!!! I kept thinking that I wanted to be there :) I wanted to be there last year too :) I couldn't believe all that she gave away :)

Am I wrong or did I see an American Girl Store just off Mighigan Ave in Chicago. It was a couple of years ago just around Xmas when I visited and there were tons of people waiting in line to get in. Never realized what or who the American Girls were until now!

Hey has anyone read the Little Princess books? They remind me of the American girl series only it's about girls before they becames Queens or were suppose to becomes Queens and one even because a King. The people are historically correct, but it's a fictional account of they as if they had kept a diary and what went on in their life for about a year of so. Don't know why I love them and they are very good. Yes they are written for the younger audience, but I hope some day my daughter may want to read them cause I have everyone of them.

I've never heard of them before. Do you know the authors?

There are several different authors the series is called "The Royal Diaries". To name a few... Elizabeth I, Red Rose of the House of Tudor Cleopatra VII, Daughter of the Nile Isabel, Jewel of Castilla Marie Antoinette, Frincess of Versailles Anastasia, The Last Frand Duchess Nzingha, Warrior Queen of Matamba Mary Queen of Scots, Queen without a country.

They tell you at the end which characters are fictional which are real and give a brief account of what the future held for them and a family tree is done too. Very interesting. Just love them.

Now that I saw the what the series is called, I looked it up on the net and I have seen them at the bookstore before. I used to work at Waldenbooks and then I quit when I had Abby. I go in there all the time :)

That series is in the same line as the series I'm reading right now called the Dear America series. I'm actually reading them to my dh at night before he goes to sleep. He says my voice calms him :) I think it's just I bore him to sleep! :) Anyway, so far it's a great series. We just finished Standing in the Light: The Captive Diary of Catharine Carey Logan and it was great. Just another good series for kids these days!
