I voted! But - what is she going to win? I'm not clear on that, but anyway, I voted!

i did, i did. i see the % is changing as well, lol. as St Germains goes up, the top one gets smaller. come on folks, vote now, its a simple few clicks. it would make both Sarah and our Paulette ever so happy. we like happy quilters dont we? cheers from another sunny winter day here in auckland, jeanne NAYY, lol
From one Business Manager to another - I've voted!
Um. The purpose of this contest is to determine which is the best catering company, not who has friends and relatives who can persuade the largest number of strangers on the internet to vote for a contestant completely without any knowledge of the quality of the catering company or its rivals at all.
Do people think it's honest to vote for something as the best when they have zero knowledge of any of the contestants? It certainly perverts the purpose of the contest or survey. How would you feel if the company your daughter works for lost, despite its outstanding quality, because relatives of employees of other companies were stuffing the ballot box? How would you feel if you chose an unsuitable company for e.g. your daughter's wedding, based on the corrupted results of this survey? Is it really a good deed to do something nice (but dishonest) for this poster, when it could do harm to many others?
Spoil sport!
Why do you think that? =20
I agree with BAE, why would you 'vote' on something being the 'best' with no knowledge of the other contestants? To me it seems very, very unfair for the other contestants, who may actually be "better."=20
I, for one, am passing on this one.

I suspect the other contestants are using a similar strategy. No one is being forced to vote one way or the other. There have been previous posts requesting votes for one thing or another. You can choose to vote or not.
If you 'can choose to vote or not,' then there is no reason for name-calling, is there.

If this poster says her daughter runs a top-notch catering business, that's good enough for me. So no, I do not consider it dishonest to vote for her.

You are absolutely correct. It was said in jest but I forgot that the underlying tone of some replies does not translate very well. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings and I apologize if I did.
oh my goodness, only vote if you've tried all the catering companys in the list, oh wait, you can add other companys that are not yet in the list. not many folks around who've used every catering company or even more than one i'd think so they can vote with any level of comparison. so what difference can it make if we choose to vote for one or another. i'd think nearly every vote there is cuz they used that catering company once and liked it. i know the poster and her dd but never used a catering service in my life. i trust her as a person so voted for her. . look what happens when folks vote for someone they've tried who didnt do such a good job...roll on nov 2008!! cheers, :)) jeanne
