I thought it was against the rules of this group to post personal businesses trying to make money off posters (she's the only who can order for us). Is this not her personal business she is promoting?? But it is ok to post new stores and/or coupons in your area that people may have an interest in?

I may be wrong, but this sure smells like spam.

I wasn't aware of that. I am a seamstress not a fabric retailer. If it is against the rules I do apologize.

If it is a true fabric co-op, it's not a business -- just a buying group, where nobody makes any money but people group together to order fabric that either can only be ordered in large quantity or else that you can get a significant discount on larger quantities. There are TONS of fabric co-op Yahoo groups like this. Some specialize in certain types of fabrics and some in certain types of suppliers.

I didn't look at her site, so I can't tell you what her group is, but I can tell you that I have been a member of a whole foods co-> aliciadesigns wrote:

I looked at the site.........the first buying opportunity is white Dupioni silk for US$14.00 a yard.........I can get it in any amount I want for a lot less than that at other sites on the web.........

It says in the subject line that it is *embroidered* silk dupioni (sp), which is probably different from just plain fabric.

I stand corrected, Melinda.............I just read the message I guess. Yes, that could be a good price for all I know.......

I understand. I do that all the time myself.
