across this site with some neat racks etc and thot of you, john.something there might look useful for you and i'm sure you could make your own without a pattern.a couple of very clever designs there. racks with optional cutting/ironing table. a couple of thread spool holders.mini table size thing for holding FQs or strips while in mid quilt. keeps'em all nice and pressed ready to sew. wish i had the knowledge/know-how to make a couple myself. shipping from calif is out of the question of course and tho i could fly there and purchase... i cant wear them home, lol, and they wouldnt fit in my suitcase so i'll have to dream. oh well. cheers jeanne

Interesting. They probably have less than $150.00 in material involved. The rest is labor. The quilt rack part of it looks like it uses closet pole socket hangers and closet poles. I am not sure about the hardware for the ironing board part of it. That probably is proprietary and not off the shelf. I wonder about the stability of the ironing board but it probably works under reasonable usage demands. Altogether a fair price/utility combination. I like things that fold up and can be put away when not needed so that qualifies as a good design feature for me. Great for apartment dwellers and small house owners.

LOL. Thank you, John. I needed a laugh and that's just terrific.

There you go!

Have encouraged kids to move out a.s.a.p. because we needed their room(s). We don't want less stuff; we want more room! ;-D

Love that line!

Don't let 'em scare ya, John. I plan to use a solid in every quilt I make. Mottled blender prints, overdyes, and batiks just don't do the same thing as a good solid. Debra in VA See my quilts at
