yeah, our JoAnn's is 4 miles from me, the LQS about 6 miles and others around 10 to 30 miles. nice to have them close, lots of options. i do alot of shop-hopping too with my mom and sister. we usually make a day of it, do lunch, etc. loads of fun!

Thanks!! We are still a bit giddy. After almost 38 years of marriage, it feels like we are starting all over with just the two of us. I think we've been preparing for our retirement for many years - you should see how many books we own! (My husband is actually the one who retired from a job, but I've suddenly have all kinds of free time because my mother passed away last year and I'd been her caretaker for some time.)
I'm go to begin by completely redoing the craft room so I can set up the sewing machines, scrapbook area, art supplies and all the needlework in their own sections. The fabric already takes up a large part of the huge shelving unit my husband and son in law made for me along the length of one wall. Somehow, the organizing is almost as much fun as making something!! Moni

Hahaha! I am the same way. I had to stow away all my paper crafts when fabric took over. I still have tons of paints that I know are drying up. I like organizing my things. Of course, once I start working on a project the room is a total mess again.
I hope your husband has a hobby too. Makes it a lot nicer if he has something fun to do while you create.
