For those who may have been wondering Stripey is going to be OK. The blood work came back inicating hyperthyroidism, just as the vet suspected. So tomorow morning we pick up her pills, which are not too dear at all, and begin the game of pilling the cat. It is all matter of finding which method is easiest to do with Stripey, as cats vary that way as much as people.
She is a bit put out with us at the moment. The relationship Stripey has with Spike is a bit like the one a particularly crochety old lady might have with an ADHD 10 year old. She'll clean his whiskers when he'll hold still long enough, but mostly stays out of his way save for giving him a healthy swat when he oversteps himself. I mentioned before that we took Spike in for The Operation. That involved an overnight stay. Stripey was delighted, she was almost bouncing around like a kitten and loving all over everyone. Then we brought him back.
