Hmm .... usually it works to whatever rule is the strictest. So if Cally is REALLY strict, it would "overrule" so to speak, the Federal law ...
But if they're selling over the iNet, usually they have to adhere to their own state laws (the laws of whatever states they hold offices in
- if a national organization) ... not the laws of who they actually ship to.
But really, the FTC is supposed to take supremacy over ALL states (however, the above is still supposed to apply - the stricter law is enforced) ... since the passing of THE SUPREMACY CLAUSE Article. VI (which was actually one of the main reasons for the Civil War, not necessarily the issue of slavery), which states that ALL Federal laws trump state ones.
You know, it's quite possible that this company doesn't KNOW that they're required to list their fiber content - and the FTC won't usually act unless there's a complaint.
Mayhap someone should tell them (the company, not the FTC) that they do run the risk of severe fines .... might be good for some free batting! Only, you won't know what it's made of! :)
