What project has taken/is taking the longest to finish?

OK, so my 1st quilt I began when DD#1 was 18 months old. I finished the top about 10 years ago, tacked it up about 8 years ago,got put away and then discovered and I am now finally quilting it. Have almost finished quilting and just have the edges to cover. DD#1 will be 14 next April!!!!! So if I finish it by her birthday, it will have only taken

12 1/2 years!!!!!

Planning a quilt for her sister, with luck won't take as long ;p)

I had a customer bring in a quilt to be quilted that she had started when pregnant with her first daughter. Her daughter was turning 54 the next month, and could I finish it by then? (I was booked up, but we did get it quilted and bound for #55 *grin*)

My first quilt. I started it in 1989. It's sandwiched with some hand quilting in the center of it. I haven't touched it in about 18 years- except to look at it every few years. Actually, I like it very much... I just don't have any desire to finish it for some strange reason.

I started hand embroidering blocks for a baby quilt for my youngest son when I was pregnant. That was in 1982 and it's still not done. I had a quilt top that I started when I was about 12 or 13 and finally finished it, quilted and all a couple of years ago. I do have a quilt top that my grandma gave me when I was in high school (I graduated in 1975) that I still haven't quilted yet.

Well, I've got one that is about 5 years so far. I just started handquilting it, so by the time I finish, it will be at least 10 years in the making. :-)
