whole cloth quilting

Are there many people out there who enjoy whole cloth quilting? I really enjoy it! Several years ago I purchased a kit for a Christmas tree skirt just to see whether I could have success with and enjoy the technique, and am just now finishing my third bed-sized quilt.

I have several of the small whole cloth, pre-printed quilt tops. Have quilted 2 of them, am working on a third. I enjoy them and they aren't too big to do in the summer here in the desert. Great way to use sample squares of different battings too.

I love whole cloth quilting. I made a queen sized quilt years ago which is on my guest room bed. I started another one for DD so I would have it someday when she found Mr. Right. Started it when she began college and figured I would have it done when she graduated. WRONG. I am only 1/4 way done since I have worked on so many other quilts in the ensuing years. Am now getting back to hers.

I did one of the pre-printed ones, queen size, just to get myself better at hand quilting. Swore I'd never do another. Then did another, designed my own quilting. Sort of do enjoy it, once it gets under way. The important thing is not to set a deadline, at least for me. Roberta in D

Yes, I enjoy whole cloth pieces! I need to get stuff out and do another one. Hmmm, perhaps on a soft contract batik with a contrating thread.......

I have a crib sized kit that I haven't started yet. I'm a little intimidated by all the quilting, but I love the look of whole cloth quilts.
