Who wanted quilt label fabric?

I found some. I think it was Boca Jan, but not sure. Linda PATCHogue, NY

Are you talking about the fabric that is pre-printed with labels that you cut, personalize a bit, and attach to the quilt? If you found them at an online store, would you please post the link?

Thanks! Dannielle

Hey Dannielle, did you find something good? The backdoor quilt shop has a nice assortment from Martha's Vineyard but they are for all different types of quilts. I had a great assortment several years ago and used them all up. DARN.

I found some in my stash that are kind of antiquey (is that a word?) looking - sort of a brown ink drawing. Do you want them. If so, they are on their way to you.

If we can suffer through the cutsey-poo 'quilty', I'm sure antiquey won't do us any harm. The word 'sewer' also rankles me unless it's used to describe waste water. Who am I to criticize since I thought 'ambifooterus' was a much-needed addition to our vocabulary? . . . also, Linda, we have everybody saving the Box Tops things for you. Do we get another shot at that next year and how did this year's party go? Polly

Thank you Linda, you are a dear!

I don't like reading the word "sewer" either. I've seen "sewist" used in its place. It still seems rather stilted.

We'll start again next fall we collect and count once a month, so sned them on.

When I showed my quilt club sew - er v. sewer they thought it was very funny. They wanted to call them selved needlers. I told them they were!

Thank you Jennell. The last batch I found (2 years ago) were really cool, they were about 5X3 giving me plenty of room to write everything in it that I needed to. I appreciate your effort though. I WILL find some the size I want, I will, I will.

I'm about ready to try printing my own. I have a designware program that will do labels any size I want, and I just tracked down and bought the quality of printer fabric sheets I need. We shall see.

Jan: Last week I saw yardage with labels, each about 3x5. I think it is a new or nearly new offering, so maybe your LQS or on line store will have some too.

I think I have some (of what you're talking about above) around here someplace. I've started having my labels done professionally (embroidered with my info) so now i really don't need these. If I can find them & people want them, I'd be happy to let you have them. Lemme look around in my sewing room today.

I was just talking to my DH about clean sewing rooms this AM. Does anyone REALLY clean their sewing rooms after every project? I know I don't. I never have a project that I finish & then move on to the next one. I always have a whole bunch of things in various stages of completion. Therefore, my sewing room always looks like a cyclone hit it. We're getting ready to re-do my sewing room & I guess I need to get it cleaned before then, don't I? Yikes!

Yes, I'm new. Today is my first day here & man oh man... am I happy to have found y'all! Hopefully this place will lead to many new quilts & friends!

Sorry I didn't welcome you snappychick. I was breezing through the posts and missed the part about you finding us! LOL. I guess you don't have my turtle mail. I would be happy to send it to you.

I know you will have fun here. There are a bunch of cool ladies that know all there is about everything, so don't ever be afraid to ask a question 'cause someone always knows the answer.
