Jeanne, Thanks for this about the teardrops. I've been puzzling over what to do on one of mine, and I think this might be just what I'm looking for. On the peacock blocks why not outline the bodies and do the teardrops on the tail? Gen

Not yet. It's redwork southern belles, done on the embroidery machine. I had the blocks done, and put it together while I have to stay upstairs. I stepped off a step wrong last Oct. 27th and destroyed the tendons in the arch and fractured 3 ligaments.. After fooling around for weeks, being in a boot for 6 weeks plus PT, I finally got to see a foot and ankle specialist, and it was almost immediate surgery. I had to have tendons moved from one place and attached to another, plus a cutting my heel, moving it forward, and inserting a screw. I have 4 incision sites. One week of a huge surgical dressing, then 6 weeks of a cast. Only 12 more days to go! Believe me, I'm ready to loose the cast. I can't use crutches, so I rented a little scooter type thing made just for cases like this. So far, I've got one top done, started appliquing my cat blocks for "bathing beauties", trying my luck at postcards, and read 5 books. Gen

OUCH!!!! Gen. good thing you got such comfy chairs in the lounge that keep that foot up where it belongs and keeps ya close to the entertainment provided by the furry critters both inside and outside, lol. sure doesnt sound like a heap of fun having a big old heavy thing to weigh ya down but it gives ya time to get to all the hand sewing projects ya been holding on to for awhile. :) fingers crossed that it heals as it should and when the cast comes off you get full bum kicking ability back in record quick time. lol. hugz, jeanne
