WOOHOOO! Patti's book!!

I meant more that I don't have the experience to write a book, hopefully I'd be able to tackle most of the quilts, I may be relatively new to quilting, but I think the mathematician in me finds some techniques easier, such as foundation piecing, it was obvious to me what it was doing, getting the fabric the right way round is only something that happens if I think I've already laid it out correctly, not because I'm struggling to figure it out. Resizing blocks, dealing with on point etc. are all no brainers for me - I tend to not see the value of tables of measurements because the obvious thing to me is to produce a quick spreadsheet! I think anyone can quilt, but finding these things easy is rather nice, it means I only have to concentrate on the skills - and they need as much work as I can give!

Cheers

Anne

What a good idea, Jeanne! I've just gone to Amazon and done just that. :) It should be posted within a couple of days.

Now I'm just gaping and speechless . . . Oh my word ... ... I honestly never thought this sort of thing would happen to me - I've got a total body blush. .

Is the book going to be sold by amazon eventually? All they have now is individuals selling "used" books by listing on amazon. I have put it on my amazon wish list.

Julia > Oh Tutu, thank you ever so much for this 'endorsement' >g like this. I feel so relieved and happy that all the struggles were

Yes, it will be on Amazon eventually. I have told everyone who asked that that would be the case. I'm afraid I don't have any info. on what the publisher and his agents are doing. Sorry. I don't see how there can be 'used' ones on Marketplace?! But I guess anything is possible. When I looked, they were all new ones, at cut prices. I just hope you enjoy it when you get it. . Thanks very much Linda - a rather troubled 'celebrity' now, though. . In message , WitchyStitcher writes

At first glance, I thought Tutu had sneaked her review in before mine, but now I see that the newest ones are posted at the top. Anyway, you now have two reviews and five stars on each -- well deserved, too. :D

Sandy, your's was definitely there first!

I've been away -may I still order one? Pretty please? Roberta in D

I second everything Leslie has said. The praises have been so beautifully written that I hesitate to write my own. But not writing something would slight the wonderful book Pat has published. I know the sweat and tears that it took to produce such a wonderful book, so I have to put in my humble two cents and say that I'm so very, very pleased it has all come together for such a lovely contributor to our newsgroup. Pat is a real treasure to us all and we are proud of her success! I can't wait for the time to produce one of the patterns....I just haven't yet decided which one!

I wish I had said all this! Next in line to author a book has to be our own Polly! Your posts are always perfect! funny, touching, sentimental, heartfelt.....there is no end to the adjectives I could use. Next!!!!!!!!!! "My Life in the Swamp" by Polly Ester.......Just a working title, mind you. I know you'd come up with something much, much better.
