Last night I was working on the thread painting part of my big landscape, and wouldn'tcha knowit. My faithful little workhorse, Bernina 1000, quit on me. That was the last straw in a 4 year QUEST (pun intended for those of you who are familiar with my babylock nightmare) for a newer, slightly bigger sewing machine. Called a friend, drove to Stewarts in Mt Zion, and bought a janome 1600p - she just got a straight stitch - but I need her for free motion. I also ordered the Grace Quilting frame that will fit either mid arm or long arm - and have save about a third of what I need to buy a mid arm. At least I will now have the frame! and the neatest thing is that janome

1600p is white and PURPLE. I love it!

Musicmaker, who has been playing with paints and dyes all week but will start thread painting again this evening.

Congratulations on the new SM! Barbara in SC

Hope the machine works great for you and serves you well. Taria
