I attended the PA Quilt Extravaganza last Thursday and spent my time trying out machines. I'd been thinking and talking about a new machine for a couple years. About an hour before closing, I made up my mind and bought a Babylock 6600 Quest! It has every feature imaginable (except embroidery-which I wasn't interested in). The only problem --they're back-ordered and I don't actually get it until December. Meanwhile, they gave me a Babylock Xscape to use during the interim and to KEEP! It, too, has tons of features and only weighs 12 lbs. It'll be great for Guild meetings and travel, etc! I'm off to play!
PS. I read the other post about the Janome 6600 with no free arm. That is true and one of the reasons why I decided on the Babylock. Also, all the quilting feet were included and work with the even-feed feature.
