Ronni & Lacey -- Thank you SOOO much! That was my first "official" crop session with anyone other than Kasey. I learned quite a bit today and got to try some techniques I've only read about.

For your sake, I'm sorry more people didn't attend. For my sake, I loved the door prizes ! It was great meeting both of you in person. Hope we can do it again soon.

P.S. Kasey said "thanks for the donuts!"

Hi Amy, I'm the webmaster for Scrapbook Central in Pisgah, about 45 minutes from you. You may be interested in their site. They have a lot of cool things there, including a new discussion group. There design team seems pretty talented and have been published a bunch. They're all very cool too!

I checked out some of the layouts of the design team. And you're right they are all very talented ladies. THanks for sharing the link. I think I've sufficiently satisfied my scrap cravings for the evening. Maybe I should turn in now. Oh how I love it when all the house is quite and everyone else is sleeping.

from your reaction I see more fibers in your future..... LOLOL

I'm a really tactile person, so anything with texture works for me. ANd the messier the better. And yeah, well fibers work well for almost anything.

Story behind the joke... During our crop, I made a simple LO that was good, but it still needed something. I decided to ask the help of my new friends. :-) It was Ronni's idea to try a fiber, showed me how to use it, and offered her stash for my use. I was just floored by the difference that little bit of thread made on the page! I'm going to have to figure out how to post it somewhere to show everyone. I was literally giddy with excitement at the results.

If you haven't figured it out yet, Ronni is VERY talented.

*blush* girl, you can raid my stash anytime you want... I've had a few awesome people add to that stash from here and thats one of the reasons I give so freely from it... if you ever need a "night away" from the kids, let me know.. come over and we will "stash root" LOLOL

oh and get this ladies... amy made her own background paper by using pictures of the blueprints from the construction of her house... its so cool!

That sounds really cool!!! I wanna see it! Did you post a picture of the LO Amy and I missed it??? If so sorry, my head is still with my DS....

Sorry, No. I haven't hooked up the scanner or signed up for any websites to post LO yet. I'll try to give it a go this weekend.

OK, I've posted some LOs of the house.

also posted the two blank background pages I made from scannedcopies of the house blueprints. One LO shows my very first use offibers and another shows my first use of brads! Thanks for looking!

Great pages Amy. I like the background paper you made. What a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
