Prayers neede for Kenda's DS

Sep 11, 2004 21 Replies

Just thought that I would ask for your prayers/positive thoughts for Kenda's youngest. He complained of stomach pains around lunch time today and Kenda ended up picking him up at school and taking him to the doctor, who sent him for a CT scan. The scan confirmed what had been suspected and her DS is currently in surgery. They expect everything to be fine and for him to go home tomorrow.

Thanks,

Sending prayers for a speedy recovery!!

Oh my gosh, I hope he's ok. Prayers for his speedy recovery for whatever it is/was that caused his stomach pains.

Oh goodness.. Prayers being said for a speedy recovery.

Kenda and her son are in my prayers. Thank you M-C for letting us know.

a good friend is a life long treasure

Just spoke to Kenda and her DS had his appendix taken out last night. He is doing well this morning and it looks like they will send him home this afternoon.

Thanks for the good thoughts/prayers and keep them coming. They are powerful stuff.

My thoughts are for him (them) as well. Maybe as a 'treat' he could make a trip at end of the month!!!

OH, YOU MEAN THAT Kenda did NOT do the procedure?! However I understand

Thanks everyone for all their good thoughts and prayers!! They sure worked! DS had surgery Friday evening about 9pm and was released from the hospital about 5:30 pm Saturday. I knew he was feeling better when he and his older brother got into an arguement over a video game in the hospital room!!! He is disappointed that he won't be going to school on Monday (my decision, the surgeon says he can go to school! Just no lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying anything over 10 lbs (so that leaves out the backpack.) Also no climbing stairs/ hence no school as he has classes on the second floor as well as in the basement! LOL) I think that if he feels up to it he will be going back on Wednesday, even if for just half a day.

I would like for everyone to know that I have been reading all the posts, looking at all the new LO's, which I must say are wonderful! Welcome to all the newbie's! Again, thanks to everyone for their good thoughts and prayers.

He will have to get caught up at school, so no treat for him! (Mom needs the treat more!)

I tried to get into the OR but the surgeon was having none of it! I just didn't understand! He didn't even have a very good sense of humor (good thing he came well recommended by our family dr.!) though he did say that he could be out stacking fire wood today....and he'd write a prescription for the choice of DS's girlfriends to carry his books! LOL DS didn't find that funny.....

I'm looking forward to the visit next week!

I can't wait to meet you all!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! *still writing list of things to pack* LOLOLOL WOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOLOL (okay I'm a LITTLE excited)..............

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*runs over and give april huge HUG*

WOOOO HOOOO TEXAS HERE I COME!!!!!!!

Kenda I'm behind but glad to hear everything turned out ok with your son!

Kenda, thanks for letting us know how your son is doing. It does sound like he's feeling much better. But you know us moms are we worry too much.

Heehee, you are sooo right!!! My DH keeps saying, "Cut the strings Kenda, cut the strings!!" But I'm a Mom and I gotta worry! LOL Though I know it drives the kids crazy....what can ya do?

I don't think us moms will ever stop worrying about our babies. That is a string that will never be cut. I'm so glad everything turned out OK. Being a boy I think it made it easier for them to diagnose and get on with the solution.
