Just To Say Hi! :)

It's been a long time but I thought I'd stop in to say hi and find out how everyone's been doing. Any stitchy Christmas gifts in the making this year? Hope to be back more often in future. It's good to see so many familiar names here!

Hi Maureen! You could chime in on the intros, or the confessional of how many projects we have in our closets. My brain is still hurting from confessing..

No, actually I'm better off NOT chiming in on the confessions. My life's not long enough to complete my OWN list! lol When I look at the number of charts, lace, quilting, and other needlework projects I 'just had to have' and never got to (yet), I'm ashamed of myself. Not ashamed enough to stop stashing mind you, but ashamed enough to think I may need a new storage container soon. lolol

Well it's this way.....I head for the computer to spend some time in this group. But DD # 1 beats me to it, and spends the next 3 or 4 hours d/loading music. She calls DD # 2 without even leaving the computer to tell her she's finished, and DD # 2 can now have the computer if she wants it. There goes another 3 or 4 hours. Then there's the housework to do, the meals to cook, the groceries to buy, the personal taxi service I run for both DDs who need to get to dance, karate, archery the mall, and everywhere else teenagers with a life need to go. lol So by the time I can finally sneak in here to get on, I'm just too tired or it's nearing midnight. So I read a couple of posts, promise myself to make more time for it, then repeat above routine day after day after day. :)))) But I sure miss this place!!

D/L'ing music doesn't actually require sitting in front of the computer. Most services and reputable download clients have a queuing function...set it and forget it.

I regularly pull vast quantities of stuff thru the pipes without sitting here. My client chimes when it needs a new batch of stuff queued up.

You could've booted her off and she'd still have gotten her tunes downloaded. What on earth gives her the right to use your own property before you do? The only reason I got first rights on the puter back home is because I bought the machine and the internet service myself.

We miss you too, girlfriend! Becky A.
