Just to say hello

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would pop in and say a quick hello to you all and wish you all the best :o) Hope you are all having a good summer!

I have not been around as I have been taking advantage of the good weather and not sitting about indoors. We get so little nice weather we have to take every chance we can to enjoy it! I have also been trying to improve my health and have been walking 25-30 miles a week and doing some Pilates. Doesn't leave me much time for crafting though :( Anyway....as the weather gets colder I will get back to it...I just need to persist with the health changes for a while yet. Got a fair bit of weight to lose!!!!

Take care for now, Marilyn

I've been wondering where you have been. I've really missed your posts and seeing all the beautiful things you create. But, I completely understand about taking advantage of the wonderful weather! Good luck with your excercise, and come back to us when you can.

Welcome back, Marilyn! We've missed you! Your description of taking advantage of the weather for walking sounds a lot like mine, except it's opposite. I love to walk, and try to do 10 miles a week, except for the summer months when it's simply too HOT to go outside. I try to walk the halls at work ( we have a corridor a quarter mile long), but lately even that is too hot. I can't wait for it to cool down enough to walk outside again. Maybe in October. I think I lived in Minnesota too long. I really miss winter. Anyway- I'm looking forward to seeing all your latest creations. They're always inspiring!

M-C....I shall try to be more regular posting but I was spending way too much time sitting at the PC or crafting :o) Now the weather is a little less kind I am using a XL Glider for the cardio work if it rains....although it is not a good as walking outside. Would you believe I have gone down 2 jean sizes with small dietary changes and the walking over a six week period......and I have lost nearly a stone in weight to boot. Feeling pretty pleased with that and I don't want to slip back into old habits...LOL It is just so easy to get lazy when you start to play and have too much fun but I am going to be firm with myself and stick to my regime.

Take care, Marilyn

Hi Marilyn, I've missed your conversation in the group but I agree enjoy the weather while you can. Wow on the walking. I've tried adding some but I must say 25 to 30 miles a week still sounds beyond my reach. Although I do not mind doing Pilates I feel so much stronger after just a few work outs its amazing. Hope you can figure out a way to continue your changes through the winter and balance play time so we can hear from you more and see more of your creations, without jeopordizing your health.

That is wonderful! I can see why you are motivated to continue! What you need is a voice activated PC and a screen on your Glider!!! That way you can post and excercise!!! Seriously though, keep up the good work, that is awesome!!
