I am 95% better M-C...and migraine for me is a regular occurrence = although this one was a bummer. It was so bad that it has left scalp = sensitivity and an upset tum from too many pain-killers. Other than that = I am fine....LOL

Hope this goes through since my ISP is doing maintenance as of 2200hrs = :o) Marilyn

Oh my, I do feel for you. Those migraines are terrible and so debilitating. Massage therapy seems to help. When I was a practicing therapist, I had several clients who suffered from these and I would see them immediately when they felt one coming on. I would work with them until they got relief,no matter how long it took. Sending you good thoughts.

I second the massage for migraines. That was one of the first things that worked for me. (the first was an injection when I landed in emergency with a really bad one when they first started, but I didn't want to go that route all the time). I also found some herbs that helped. I believe they were fenugreek and thyme. I also had to stop taking *all* painkillers and recuring over the counter meds of any kind for a number of months because I was getting rebound headaches. The only meds I took in that time were my asthma meds as needed. I rather go the herbal route for most things anyway. Hope you don't get them often and find something that helps reduce them when they come.

After 40 years of migraine I think I have tried everything out there = Sabrina! Many things will help a little but I have found nothing that = resolves them...the best you can hope for is calming them to a dull ache = :o) My best remedy for the worst pain is cold compress using vinegar = for the forehead, with warm water bottle on the back of the neck, = sipping Tonic Water for the nausea.

I also try to stick to natural remedies Lorilee. Too many pain-killers = can result in rebound headaches and I have gone both the prescribed = route and over-the-counter meds....without success. Since I have = suffered all my life, as did my mother & grandmother, there isn't much I = haven't tried but I must look at the fenugreek and thyme you have = mentioned. I have used fenugreek as an appetite stimulant for the dogs = but haven't studied it at great length for anything else. Must look it = up in my books...thanks for the info!!!!

What triggers your migraines, Marilyn? Maybe if you could find the = trigger, that would help keep them away...for the most part. I know my = few migraines are always triggered by stress. Migraines run in my mom's = family. Both my mom & sister have them. Mom gets them from chocolate, = all chocolate, except white chocolate. My sister gets them from = caffeine, solid & liquid. It kind of kills a lot of their fun, but at = least the migraines pretty much stay away.

Hormone changes are what bring them on Deb...LOL Afraid I have no = control over them and can only hope that in another year or two the = migraines will almost disappear. My Mum still had migraine after = menopause but much less frequently. My maternal grandmother died when my = Mum was eleven, so can't tell if she would have experienced the same = situation. Although my Mum always used to talk about how badly she = suffered from migraine. Food doesn't affect them nor does tea, coffee, = chocolate or cheese. I rarely drink the coffee anyway as it affects my = kidney stones negatively! Sheesh...sounds like I am falling to bits = here...ROFL
