Humor and Introduction

I found this when I was cleaning out my "High School" box. I was looking for things to take to my 20th high school reunion next year.

Birth of a Candy Bar

One day "Mr. Goodbar" wanted a "Bit of Honey". So he took "Mrs. Hershey" behind the "Power House" on 5th Avenue" He then started feeling her "Mounds" which were pure "Almond Joy". He let out a "Snicker" and his "Butterfinger" went up her "Milky Way". She let out a "Oh! Henry" and grabbed his "Peter Paul". This all resulted in a "Baby Ruth".

I hope no one is offended by this. I thought is was cute and we all need to laugh every now and then. I received this from a friend in high school.

Hi everyone,

My name is Pamela and I live in a city call Terrell, TX. It is about 45 minutes east of downtown Dallas. I will be married for 19 years on the

27 of this month. I have a DS who will be 15 on Halloween and a DD who will be 11 4 days before DS. (October 27) I have been scrapbooking off and one for the last 5 to 6 years. I have a Boxer named Roscoe and a Wiener Dog named Buddy that adopted us about 4years ago when our neighbor adopted him for a shelter in our town. He came home with her. She gave him a bath. She let him outside and he has been with us since. Right now I am a SAHM. Looking for something to do part-time. Will try and get my DH to set up my web page so I can post my pages. Right now I am working on a scrapbook for my grandma and grandpa to give to them on their anniversary next year. It will be their 70th. She loves to quilt and she taught me how to quilt when I was a kid. Their scrapbook will be the different quilting blocks. Each page will have a different block. I showed my mom (it's her parents) some of the pages I have done and now she wants one with her kids and grandkids and parents. My parents celebrated their 50th anniversary on the 2nd of this month. I told her when they reach their 70th anniversary I will make her one. She didn't think that was too funny. What she doesn't know is she will be getting her book, hopefully, at Christmas. Well I guess I have talked your ears off enough for now. If I forgot any information please let me know. I am an open "Book" HA! HA!.

Welcome to the group, Pamela. I would love to see some of your quilt block LO's. I'm wanting to use that theme for the heritage album I am doing of my great-grandmother. I have her album of photographs from when she first got married through to her grandchildren. Many of the pictures are on the old black paper pages where they have crumbled so much all I have are pictures glued back to back with flecks of black falling when I look at them. I have been scanning and planning, but need some inspiration to get started. Sandy

Hi Dave!!! My SIL is from Olahoma City, but we don't hold that against her though. The funny thing is my DS wants to go to the University of Oklahoma.

Thanks Sandy, I inherited my husbands Grandmothers pictures too. I will be trying to start on 2 heritage books for my DH and my BIL sometime in the next couple of years I have so may pictures right now that I just don't want to start anything that challenging right now. Did you know that Sizzlix has quilting dies? I am waiting to get those so I can finish my moms book.

Hi Pammy and welcome to RCS. I can see that you already fit in with the rest of the goof balls on here! We are a pretty laid back group here, so feel free to share ideas, layouts and yes, jokes. If it's not specifically about scrapbooking our only rule is that it be marked OT (off topic) and if you have something to sell please preface the post by AD.

I hope that we get to see some of your layouts as to me, other than getting to know another scrapbooker, that is always a big treat!
