Re: Mostly OT: My day...

((((((HUGS)))))) for the sad bit. we needed fertility treatment to have James. My MIL adopted her first baby, and the whole experience has been wonderful. I have an excellent SIL as a result! :)

RATS! Had two cars stolen, so I know how theft feels.

Sounds like you are finding plenty to do to keep busy and not brood on what can't be fixed. Best of luck in all of it - quilty and unquilty!

Jalynne,

I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it is of no consolation, but with an adoption you'll be making a very lonely, unwanted child into a very wanted child and that's a fabulous thing too! Big cyber hugs and prayers are heading towards you and your DH!

When I was a child I had an adopted friend. She felt so special because her parents "picked" her out to be their child. I hope your prayers are answered too.

Oh Jalynne I'm so sorry to hear this. I've so been hoping for good news for you this (and every, since you mentioned it) month. But I'm relieved that you are going to put it behind you and move forward into another sphere. That, too, is not going to be plain sailing; but it will probably be a doddle, compared with what you have endured for the past while. Let's hope that all will go smoothly and that you will have the addition to your family that you obviously long for. But, may I give you a gentle word of advice?, before you start the next difficult road, take some time, rest, enjoy what you have around you and especially each other. Let yourselves be refreshed. You have focused on this for a long time and you need to step back, get your world and

*the* world back into perspective. Good luck with tracking the cheque. What a rotten thing to happen.

With the amount of energy now stored up, those UFO's don't stand a chance. >g< All good wishes. . In article , Jalynne writes

Yes, we are definitely going to take a break. We'll go to an informational meeting in November at the adoption agency, but we're not going to do anything about starting the process until February. That'll give me a good long time to rest, get my house in order, etc. I feel like I've been holding my breath for three years, and that all of a sudden, I can breathe again, because there's not this huge cloud of uncertainty over my head (just a few stray ones now and again). This morning has given me new perspective, and clarity of thought...I'm so excited to move forward!

Good for you, Jalynne. I wish you all the luck in the world for what's ahead. Have a wonderful six months. I always fear uncertainty. When you *know* what you have to face, you have power. Take care. When your UFO clearing has borne fruit, don't forget to tell us about all your triumphs. >g< . In article , Jalynne writes

Jalynne, I'm sorry to hear that your infertility treatments won't work, but I love your positive attitude about adoption! I always told DH that, if he wanted a specific *kind* of baby (no wisecracks here -- I mean male or female ), we would have to adopt, since I wasn't willing to have a zillion in hopes of getting one of the "right" gender.

Good luck getting the check situation straightened out; I know it must be frustrating as all get out. Have fun with the blackberry picking! :)

Jalynne-

Sending you some big, warm hugs and The Furbabies are adding some sloppy doggie-breath kisses. I'm sorry.

I just can't imagine what it's like to be in your shoes. I fell pregnant easily both times, unfortunately my DB ( not SIL) is having similar problems. Thinking of you both
