((((((HUGS)))))) for the sad bit. we needed fertility treatment to have James. My MIL adopted her first baby, and the whole experience has been wonderful. I have an excellent SIL as a result! :)

When I was a child I had an adopted friend. She felt so special because her parents "picked" her out to be their child. I hope your prayers are answered too.

But I'm relieved that you are going to put it behind you and move forward into another sphere. We'll go to an informational meeting in November at the adoption agency, but we're not going to do anything about starting the process until February. That'll give me a good long time to rest, get my house in order, etc. I feel like I've been holding my breath for three years, and that all of a sudden, I can breathe again, because there's not this huge cloud of uncertainty over my head (just a few stray ones now and again). This morning has given me new perspective, and clarity of thought...I'm so excited to move forward!

Jalynne, I'm sorry to hear that your infertility treatments won't work, but I love your positive attitude about adoption! I always told DH that, if he wanted a specific *kind* of baby (no wisecracks here -- I mean male or female ), we would have to adopt, since I wasn't willing to have a zillion in hopes of getting one of the "right" gender.
