Dropping in to say hello !

Well I haven't been here for simply ages and found myself thinking about you all. I hope everyone is in good health and that you all have an abundance of projects on the go. I have just finished piecing a quilt for my eldest daughter Rosie who has gone off to Uni to read music. It is a Kaffe Fasset pattern but I have used all duck egg blues, creams and chocolates with lots of music inspired fabrics with a hint of gold. I have to finish the machine quilting by Christmas so wish me luck.......I really hate the assembling of the 3 layers together so have been putting it off for a couple of weeks.......Oh and yes...there is a plaid in the quilt lol

Hi Flossy. Nice to see you again. Glad you are still quilting. The quilt sounds great with very up to date colours!! She will have a little bit of Mum when she goes. I hate the quilting bit too if that helps, but often its the thought of it thats worse than when you do get down to it. Good luck!

Great to see you again, Flossy! Welcome back! Rosie's quilt sounds wonderful! I'll think positive thoughts for the pinning/sandwiching.... I've found that securing the backing with clamps (using the dining room table top) helps to keep the layers from getting "wrinkled" parts.
