CCC April 2008 done

Got my 6 cards done last night. I really like the look of them. I used the make another shape card challenge and I used gold letter stickers that I bought when I first started scrapping. I've never used them. The edges of the sheets are so tatter from being in a folder awaiting their turn.

Look in my Christmas Card Challege album.

Those are beautiful! I have a very similar idea for mine! Great minds think alike.

Thanks Jessica. I really copied from the gals link you sent. She had done several different circle cards.

Both the green and the red are very cute Lynne. I love the lettering also. One question though... how did you get your bows so pretty? I need a lesson in bow tying?

TFS!

Your round cards turned out great Lynne! I still need to get mine done. Two days off work in a row after today, and rain in the forecast, so I may just get them done then! :-)

I know this isn't much help.... it's just practice. I made tissue box covers for Christmas one year. I probably made about 30 and all needed bows tied. I tied and retied until all bows looked great. After that I've been a great bow tier (sp?).

I like them......never done a shape card before. I will definitely have to try. I noticed you inked these cards, too. Have we 'turned you to the ink side"?

That's what I need is a day off........never happen here!! Let's see...when is the next holiday???? I get Memorial Day off, then the next day off after that is the 4th of July. I am so looking forward to the cruise......it will be the first time I ever closed the daycare for a vacation, except for the Christmas Holidays. I already have two families complaining. I don't know why, as they take off two weeks every year for their vacations. Good luck, Linda with getting your cards done. I will probably be a last minute...stay up late...participant again this time.

Everytime I see you're inked edge projects I do the "V-8" smack to my head... "I could have inked the edges." So, now I'm trying it out and seeing it works for a lot of things.

Hahahaha...Sandy shared her edge-inking tips with me way back and now I ink nearly everything in sight. I think it softens every edge! On modern type stuff I use a closely matched but darker colour, on photo edges I just drag the edge over the pad to take away the white cut look, it camouflages wiggly cutting :) For a more blended & coordinated look I go for it...ROFL Take care, Marilyn (Scotland UK)

It sure does make projects look nicer... more finished... softer... I'm really going to try and do it more. I remember at the barn get together I sat next to Ronni for the days we were there and she inked EVERYTHING! I am not exaggerating and everything she did looked wonderful. Still didn't sink in for me then.

Lynne like you I always forget about inking too. I usually think about it after I have everything glued down and then it is too late!
