Chatty Cathy - your SS needs your help ASAP

Cathy - i went to the post office to mail your package, and they won't let me send it to a PO box. Would you email a physical address I can send it to?

Thanks!

ok, I am going to be a bit nosey... BUT Y? Why can't you mail your package to a P.O. Box? Size of the box, something that is in it?. Weird for a post office to say something like that.

Yeah, our church has a po box and if it's too big they stick a note and we pick it up from the counter.

I would go to another post office in your town to mail it. Weight and size do not matter for a po box. They will leave a note and make the person go to the main post office (if the po box is outside) and if it is in a postal facility then they leave a note and your package is in the back somewhere waiting your pickup. The zip might be wrong or the city. I had one a montha go that asked if the city was a suburb of a larger city becuse the zip was for the bigger city but not the city listed.

I used to work for the postal service about 10 yrs ago and they ALWAYS mail to the zip code first then then address then the name. So you can put a wrong address but it goes to the zip first.

Was it returned? If not then they don't know if it is deliverable or not. Oh geez I am going nuts..... Get in their face and ask SPECIFICALLY why?

Sorry but some postal places are rediculous. Last time I did swaps with a group of people and was told I HAVE TO PLACE return address... I got in her face and told her I knew the rules and UNLESS IT IS AIRMAIL ,,,,,NO I DON"T...... she backed off.

ok I didn't want to start a fight just....because of them stupid terrorist our rules everywhere are changing.

I think i may have encountered a particularly hasseled and tired postal worker this morning. I sent it out from work via Click-n-ship with no problems.

Santa knows even good people have hard days, especially postal workers at Xmas.

The good news is we've solved the problem. :)

Oh dear - too bad you had trouble! Glad it was solved. I know it's been hit or miss with me a few times too at the post office. I usually use it online as much as possible, it's easier, and I can send things from my job.

Although, i ordered stamps for my xmas cards - and they haven't come for almost a week now!!!

Oh well, I am still holly and jolly - i love this time of year...but oh so much to do!
