I had not seen this before, thanks for posting it, Juno. I like the kimona-wrap dress, and just have to figure out where to wear it. Emily

Well Mary, seeing how much you "love the models drawings" I'm afraid to solicit your opinion of the dress LOL Juno

I don't know which dress you're interesed in :-) But for goodness sake don't be afraid of my opinion. Even if I don't like it - so what? I'm sure my opinion wouldn't change yours, why should it?

Your opinion - if it were not the same as mine - wouldn't change mine. If it WERE the same as mine I'd use it as support - but not the other way round.

Mary, I was joking. No, your opinion won't change mine. I just like input. The dress is the Wong-Sing Jones wrap dress

But I hope you're not that shape ... The Duchess of Windsor is reputed to have said that you can never be too rich or too thin but I think she was wrong!

I haven't seen thin since I was born. I've got meat and curves all over my body. I like the dress because I think it will do the curves justice. Juno

I think it is gorgeous. It reminds me of McCalls 5233,which I made last year in the longer version and I love.

I like the description :-)) All the pattern illustrator seem to draw pics of the same women. I've yet to see such a woman in the flesh.

My thoughts for what they're worth. Modern styling as that contrast border round the neck and down the bust is everwhere at the moment. I think it probably would suit a more curvacous (sp?) woman and given all the seams in both the front bodice and back bodice it should allow for lots of amendments for any figure problems. The contrast under the bust might need to be narrowed for a curvy bod, but that should be easy. My daughter who is curvy looks good in this style and its variants and wears it often.

Thanks Judy and Fran for you thoughts. I also thought that the waist band could be narrowed down. I love the style and believe me I have the curves. When I checked the measurements I was pleasantly surprised to see that the pattern comes closer to my measurements than anything I've ever seen. I have to add about 1.5 inches to the back length. For me that's nothing. Most patterns require at more than 2.5 added in back length Because it has shoulder princess seams that make shoulder adjustment easier too. I really think my biggest problem will be FBA. Again all those font seams should help. I know I'll probably have to do a couple of muslins. I don't mind because I'm not in a hurry to have the dress. I really just want something nice in the closet to wear when I need it. I think it should be lovely for holiday dinners. Juno

The two Hot Patterns I've examined were poorly drafted. Proof carefully before cutting.

I really like the dress and think it will be very slimming. I don't care for 3/4 sleeves, however. I think they make the arms look stubby. Just my 2 cents.
