Hot Ribbon

Has anyone used hot ribbon? I saw a pattern that uses it, and it looks like a great invention. I suppose it might be like the iron on bias that is used for stems, etc. The ribbon is used as a way to attach appliqué.

No; I looked at the website, but I don't think I'm quite getting it. (Please don't try to explain - I'm thick. I'll try to find a better website/tutorial or better yet a video that explains/demonstrates). Looks like it might have applications (pun intended) for crazy quilting too.

Not sure about that mfr. though... Junko? Do they know what that means in English? (I don't recall the country, but when Chevy first introduced the Nova, in that country's native language it meant, "doesn't go")
