Have you tried the Hot Card technique?

Question

I have! Daughter needed a birthday present wrapped, so I did it. I thought why don't I try the hot card technique. The texture turned out really nice. I tried to light the picture so the texture would show up well. The technique was very easy. I found tissue paper to be pretty cheap. $1.50 for a ton of paper. We may want to do a swap on this. haha How many sheets of one kind of tissue paper does one need.

Very nice card.  I like the colors.  I have not tried this technique yet but it is on my to do list.  I have to go to the dollar store this week and get some tissue paper. Chrissy

I went to the dollar store and they had no patterned tissue paper only solid  colored.  I'm going to keep checking though. Lynne

That is a beautiful card.  The texture looks neat.  I'm going to have to try  it this week.  I have some pretty Christmas tissue paper...I'm thinking  Christmas cards... April Mommy to Abby (10-02)

I just followed the link, and the results look similar to a technique  I've used, where I crumple tissue paper, then smooth it out and Mod  Podge it to card stock, painting a layer of Mod Podge both under and on  top of the tissue paper.  However, this hot technique looks like it  won't wrinkle the card stock like Mod Podge does, so awesome! I'll have  to try it.
