Thanks for the info Kay and Robb, I ended up ordering the size 46 from The Thread Exchange. I looked high and low for the Coats and Clark Outdoor Thread: Joanns, Hancocks, all kinds of home dec fabric stores in the N Texas area. No one carried it. I called Coats and Clark and they told me Walmart had it. And lo and behold my local WM had it! (Mine does still sell fabric.) However at $4.75 for a 200 yard spool I decided to mail order the larger spool. Isn't it a disgrace that Walmart had it and the other so-called sewing stores didn't? I guess they didn't have room for more thread with all the other miscellaneous non-sewing stuff they now stock. ; ) Judy
