Could use your prayers and thoughts

Aloha everyone, My mom's boyfriend just had surgery today. He had been complaining about having bad heartburn and when he finally went to the doctor, we found out one of his arteries was 99% blocked. The doctor said if he had of waited another two days he probably would have had a massive heart attack. Anyway, he is in cardiac ICU right now and we are hoping he will be pulling through easily. The recovery period will not be fun for him or my mom, I can imagine. We are hoping for the best :)

I just went through something similar with my father. He had a heart attack due to his arteries were blocked. This past Wednesday he had a

4 way bypass done. My dad is doing great. Its a long process but I'm sure your mom's boyfriend will be just fine. For a matter of fact when they have the surgery done their recovery time is amazing. My dad had surgery Wednesday he was out of bed Thursday and he's coming home today. My dad came out of surgery feeling great, which is amazing. Yeah my family and I have to help him with a lot but on the most part he is feeling and doing great. And I'm sure your Mom's boyfriend will do the same. If you need to chat I'm here.

Thanks everyone for all your words of encouragement. It made me so happy to know that people care :) Just for an update--He was discharged from the hospital today and everything looks like it is going okay. After talking to Mom, I think the hardest thing is going to be changing his diet and getting more exercise. I am glad though because I have been trying to get them to exercise more anyway...too bad something so horrible had to happen before they realized it. Anyway, thanks again everyone!!!
