Request: some good thoughts/prayers

Without getting into the details, I'd like to ask folks here if they could send some good thoughts/prayers out my way. We're dealing with some tough stuff in my family right now, and I am feeling anxious and not my usualy optimistic self - damn that S.A.D!! Also, I've been so busy at school that I have had no torch time for weeks, and that is never a good thing. So thanks in advance for your kind thoughts.

warm thoughts from Hawaii coming your way.

I take vitamin D for my S.A.D., works for me, but then, I'm in the tropics, and it isn't half as bad as before I moved here (from 54 North, quite a while back), but it still gets pretty bad because usually this time of year we get thick overcast and you have to keep the lights on pretty much all day, just like elsewhere.

Susan, Remember, you can solve almost everything with some good food, a glass of wine (or tea or coffee if you don't drink alcohol) and a talk with a friend. We are your friends, we're here for you. Good thoughts and prayers going out to you. Take some time for yourself - bubble baths and a glass of wine work for me. Or, go to the movies - a little visual stimuli can make all the difference in the world. A trip to a museum, or even exploring new museum sites online. Walk through a greenhouse to help your SAD. I used to take St. Johns Wort and found it very helpful during the winter months. Patti

You got 'em, Susan! I'm sending warm thoughts, but it's so cold, they may be lukewarm by the time they get there.

Prayers for you, too!

p.s. Whatever it takes, *make* some torch time! You'll be more able to help your family and yourself if you are feeling more sane! :-)

Thanks Barbara - they're slowly looking up. My sis finally has someone who's taking her inability to breathe seriously, and has surgery scheduled for mid-January, So while I'm still worried about that (is the esophageal scarring related to reflux or is there some other process at work?), at least the system has finally kicked in on that. Some of the other stuff is getting a bit better too, but this is definitely not going to be the best Xmas season I've ever spent. Thanks so much for your kind words. Just knowing there are kind people out there helps so much!

Thanks Georgia - I have so missed my studio time, but when I've gone out there and tried, I have not felt like I can get into the zone. I hoping that will change soon and that I'll be able to start posting pics of some beads again soon.

Thanks so much Polly - I appreciate it, even the thought of warmth and light help (along with my lightbox). This is the time for cold and dark and for me it is a struggle every year. This year more than some others, with others close to me going through some tough times.
