Cricut sale at Hobby Lobby

Our local Hobby Lobby is advertising the Cricut for $175., and their

*entire* stock of cartridges at $50. each. I don't know if this is nationwide, but ought to be worth checking out if you have one nearby. I am definitely going to have a close look at this. Also, Michael's is advertising the Cricut kit- including the machine, tool kit, cutter, extra mat- for $200., but doesn't mention the cartridges, so I'm assuming they're regular price. I wish the 2 day 50% coupon was good on those!

We so need a Hobby Lobby here in NY. Everyone always brags about the great deals they get at Hobby Lobby. Have fun shopping. That is a good price for the cricut machine. I love the cricut. Chrissy

Hobby Lobby and sister company Mardel and so on are HQ'ed here in OKC. I have met Mr Green before. Their distribution center and couple of plants are huge, about 1/2 mile square. I hauled a few of their loads to places, mostly Amarillo andLubbockTX few years ago.

They have good stors with anything that you ould want, but AC Moore beats the tar out of them for price and on the newest products. Hob Lob has their own line of stuff which is unique to them and reasonably priced. I prefer Hob LOb over Micahels. At least they update and change their stock, unlike Michaels.

(hugs!)

No Hobby Lobby here either in California. I did order yarn from their website though. I'm sure I didn't get a great deal, but it was really beautiful yarn.

Can you tell me what you like about this machine. I have a friend that used a friend's machine and said she does not like it at all. Is it hard to use or what? I've been thinking about getting one since they came out. I have the sizzix and the quick kutz and really like them. I like the idea of being able to make large letters etc. Thanks for all of you that respond.

I emailed hobby lobby to express how much I would love for them to come to my area or even to an area within travel distance for me. Unfortunatly NY is not in their "marketing area". This what their email said

Thank you for your interest in Hobby Lobby. Your comments are appreciated. Our plans for 2007 are to open 25 additional stores within our operating area (a 1,000-mile radius of Oklahoma City, OK). Unfortunately, New York is outside of our operating area.

Please visit the online catalog provided by our affiliate, Crafts, Etc! where they offer basic hobby and craft items. A link to the Crafts, Etc! catalog may be found on the Hobby Lobby homepage at...

Their extensive selection of items can be ordered online and delivered by mail. Home decor and seasonal merchandise, however, are not available to view or purchase online.
