My first Hobby Lobby trip!

I don't really have a Hobby Lobby near me, so I usually just get stuff at Michaels, sometimes Target or Walmart if they have something cute. But today I had to go on a little trip with my sister for something, and on the way back we stopped at a Hobby Lobby for my first time ever.

Wow! They have so much stuff! At first I was like "Hmm, maybe it's just so big because of all the home decor stuff, and the craft section will be tiny." But nope. So much pretty paper that they don't have in Michaels! And it was all 50% off!

I got two packs of Basic Grey papers. I've never bought that brand before. I'd seen the papers online, but I kind of have to see stuff up close and in person to get me excited to buy it.

I also got a pack made by a company I'd never heard of, Cosmo Cricket, of ROBOT PAPERS! Sorry for shouting, but I've been looking for robot paper for freakin' ever. Not that I have a specific project in mind for it yet, I'm just so happy it exists I had to buy it. It's just been one of those things in the back of my brain going "Now, if they only made papers with robots or spaceships, that you didn't have to special order from the other side of the world . . . "

Yay!

One of my favorite places to shop besides the big Joann's in Evansville. Glad you got some great finds. I have to really watch it when it comes to their paper sales or I will go overboard. My paper downfall is the DCWV paper stacks at Joann's......got to have them all!!

Yeah, my Michaels carries the DCWV stacks, but as soon as a new one comes out they don't stock the old ones any more. Sometimes I find the old ones on clearance at the big Michaels that's a little farther from me. I have the Once Upon a Time 12 x12 one, and the Rock Star 12x12,

8x8 and the matt stack. Oh, and I bought and used a lot of the Christmas stack for cards last Christmas. I've seen their other > One of my favorite places to shop besides the big Joann's in Evansville.

Sounds like you had a great shopping trip Luna. I just saw that robot paper the other day. It is really cute.

I love Hobby Lobby, they have some awesome stuff. They carry my favorite American Craft 3-ring albums. I try to get one every time they have them on sale for 50% off. I'm trying to replace all my post bound albums with them.

I wrote to the company that makes the robot paper, just to tell them how much I like it and how hard it is to find boy papers that aren't for babies. I suggested that they do some with space ships and pirates too, and the lady wrote back and said she'd pass my suggestions along! Yay!

Good for you Luna! Sounds like you got some really great goodies. I googled and found the robot papers you were talking about. Those are cute! I found some space ship paper at one of the LSS's here. The last several Hobby Lobby trips, I've deliberatly stayed away from the paper. LOL I'm trying very hard to be a good girl and not buy paper until I start using what I have. We have Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and JoAnn's here, plus the scrapbook stores. Between Friday and Saturday I was Hobby Lobby 3 times. LOL I don't know what I would do without Hobby Lobby!
