First time jitters

Okay, I've been reading here for awhile now and have started posting a little and no one has snarled or bit.....yet ;-)

So I'm gonna come out of the woodwork a little more and share some of my newbie layouts. The photos aren't the best as I'm currently without a scanner and had to take a digital photo and crop and such, but I'd love to hear your thoughts about them.

I've been scrapping for about 2 years, but it's kind of a seasonal thing for me and my time and space to do it are very limited even 'in season' (I do lots of gardening so warmer months are used for that-I'm in MI) As a result, even though I've been involved for awhile I haven't done alot, other than shop for stuff. What an addiction this can be.

Welcome to RCS Lori! You're Lori #3. This seems to be the most popular spelling of the name. I see by your pics that you're quite a rose gardener. I love my flower beds too. I stick w/ perenials and annuals though. I like the variety. Your lo's look great too. Glad you found us!

Thanks. I'm just always wanting to know about the people in the pictures when I look at anyone's album. It's nice when you're there to tell the stories, but what about when you're gone? CM has this story of one of their consultants who found an old b&w picture album being sold at a garage sale. She asked why they were selling, thinking it didn't belong to them. The owner said it was her family in the pictures, but she didn't feel a connection to them because she had no idea who was in the pictures. How sad!

I do some genealogy also, and we have such strong feeling about our ancestors and their stories that we will rescue old pictures and albums from antique stores, and put the pictures online, hoping that someone will find their ancestors.
