M-C, I was just looking through your webshots, and I saw Flat Stanley. I have my students for 2 years, and usually only do things every other year, but by demand from my student's parents and students, this is one project we do every year. Thank goodness, Jeff Brown wrote a sequel Stanley, Flat Again. We read the original one year, and the sequel the next. We also choose a theme of the people we are sending Stanley to. Always one to a family member, but the second to a TV star, politician, musician, former teacher, etc. This way we post where stanley goes on a huge map and the kids live for it. The responses we get that include a scrapbook are our favorites. We have received responses from Laura and George W. Bush, Noah Wylie, George Lucas, and Jeff Brown himself.
