Love Album Posted

I was working on this love album that I intended on trying to sell on Ebay before Valentines. However, I didn't get it done fast enough. So now I'm wondering if I should still put it out there and would appreciate your comments.

Making it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be! It's the "Love Album" in my webshots account.

Thanks for looking.

Way cool, M-C! You should be proud of yourself.

I don't think you should let missing Valentine's Day stop you. The spring/summer wedding season is coming up. Loved the page with the little bag (don't want to give away what the page is about in case anyone's reading this before checking out the album). And I vote for leaving the back cover as is.

Kudos! And good luck when you do sell it! The recipient is going to be very surprised & very pleased.

I vote to leave the back flat. I think the album is wonderful for any time of the year. It's not about Valentines Day - It's about love and Love is not seasonal. The work involved! I would have a hard time parting with it....... You know...that's the kind of album I would love to take a class to make. I like to take a class at the LSS once in a while where someone else did the gathering and mapping out and I get to put it together. I come away with fresh ideas and hopefully a new technique or two. M-C,

I know that you say you have missed Valentine's Day but I don't think that it matters in this instance. Your love album is outstanding and I am sure that it would generate lots of interest for those in love, thinking of getting engaged/married or even for non-scrappers who would love a beautiful pre-made album to place their special treasured memories in.

Great work M-C! My dh hates having his picture taken so I have very few pics of the love of my life. I would like to have enough to make a whole album, right now I couldn't even do a layout! The album is great and with wedding season around the corner selling it on ebay shouldn't be a problem! Barb:o)

That's beautiful MC. I would put it on ebay now. I looked at it before I read your post. I wasn't thinking of valentines day. I think it would be a great wedding give or bridal shower gift. Thanks for sharing.

Oh that looks wonderful M-C. Would have been great to have it out for Valentines, but even now I think it would do very well. Good job!

Hi M-C

Who says you can't post it on eBay now. It would be beautiful for a wedding album, a prom album, a first communion, a baptism, or an enagement album.

Or even a heritage album.

It is up to the buyer to figure out what to do with it.

Hugs, Kate

PS I may have to bid on it. :-)

Thanks everyone for you encouragement. I finished putting the ribon and fibers on it earlier today and showed it to Deb. I know we have a few serious Ebayers here. Can you tell me if there is a better day of the week to put things on Ebay and if it is better to do 3 or 5 day auctions?

Thanks again, M-C

I would recommend a 7 day auction or if you arent' too afraid of the extra charge go with a 10 day auction.

Good luck.

Hey, what is a flat Stanley?? I was looking at your albums and have to ask.

As for the love album, I say go for it after all love is always in season not just for Valentines Day. It is a very nice book and I think you can sell it.

Flat Stanley is a growing school program in a number of countries as a means of encouraging children to read. My DS's GF's Mom is a schoolteacher. Last year she was teaching grade three and they did Flrat Stanley. (It comes from a childrens' book). Anyway each child cuts out and colors in Flat Stanley and sends it to a relative or friend. The idea is that the person who receives Flat Stanley takes him on adventures and then writes a journal about it. I did a scrapbook and a number of people helped me, including Kenda and another very good friend of mine, Kathy who took Stanley with her to Australia. You send Stanley back, with the journal and the student has to read the book for the class. My little girl, Morgan actually continued the Flat Stanley adventure and was into scrapbooking.

Unfortunately, this year, Ashley's mom is teaching the fifth grade and 90+% of her students had her in the 3rd grade two years ago and have already done Flat Stanley. Clint Eastwood brought Flat Stanlet to the Oscars last Sunday.'

It's a great project and there are often children in schools that don't have family members to do Stanley. Thats when volunteers like my DS whose done a Flat Stanley for the last couple of years and I step in. M-C

A lot of people are only getting their pictures back from the developers now from Valentines. Put it up for auction. I'll bet you have it sold in no time. You did some great work!

I agree with everyone else, put it on ebay. You won't have a problem selling it at all. The album is gorgeous. You put a lot of work and time in to the album. The person who buys it will be extremely happy and satisfied.

You all wouldn't believe how gorgeous it is in person...WOW! MC used a black album, and it really looks stunning all together. I love the last page with the bag, though! I saw some of those kind of little bags today, and I almost picked a package up for me. Then I asked myself "What would I do with it?" LOL But they're so cute!!
