hard to rub-ons.....

I got a neat card kit from Costco for my girls for Christmas but the rubs on are so hard to do. I dont know if they dry up a bit or are cheaply made. Has anyone had this problem? Are there any tricks to get them to transfer a bit easier, we are rubbing ourselves silly here trying to get them to transfer! lol

I haven't tried those particular ones yet. I have found that some of them do dry out a little and crack some. The ones I have the hardest time with are on transparencies. My arm hurts after trying to use those. The best ones are usually on the thin tissue like paper.

That's a great idea anji. I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to try that the next time I have a PITA rub-on. Do you set your iron on the lowest setting?

I'm always leery about buying a new brand of rub on and here's why:

Certain brands of rub on transfers glide on so easily and then others refuse to work... Watch and track the brands of those that do and don't work so when you're out shopping you get what you're buying and try that ironing method... it's not so great for the kids but it might get you out of a pickle and a disgruntlement :)

good luck!

I hadn't thought about the iron idea. Would that work on the transparency rubons?

Anji- where did you find the Heidi Swap iron? That sounds like a pretty cool item to have.

Thanks, Amanda
