Late "Note of Thanks"

I want to finally get around to thank all of you who were in the "Get it done in 2005". I worked myself silly to get all of my projects done although had a number of them already completed by the time my son was lost in the Mojave. I kept myself occupied with completing them before Christmas since all of them were promised as gifts. Whew, I made it. But after DH started showing signs of deterioration, I put aside all of my projects this last year and haven't taken any of them back up as of yet. It has been a hard battle trying to gain some semblance of sanity but I am going to have to start doing some quilting quickly because I have a ton of projects in mind to do ASAP. Just today, I was fondling and admiring all of the fat quarters that I had received from the "Get It Done in 2005". Sorry to say, that nearly each one conjured up a bit of an idea for yet another project for each of them. That just isn't going to happen this year. VBG I've already got too many things started in my head. Hope I can get them into fabric before they slip from my mind. Thanks again to all of you wonderful people.

Want to know the secret to not having all those wonderful ideas slip from your mind . . . . . . . . sleep with a cork in each ear!

Sorry - couldn't resist! It's what I tell all my students when they keep forgetting what I tell them. ("Write it down or I will stick corks in your ears").

Keep looking forward Marlys!

I'll have to try that on DH and DD! lol If ever you need corks, I'm your source. I have no clue as to why but everytime we open a bottle of wine, the cork ends up in this drawer.

I have a friend who collects corks "for the elephants". No idea how that works but she collects them for a project that protects elephants. She doesn't get many from me these days lol

Glad to hear it Marlys -- you are due for a year that is joyful and relaxing. May 2007 be just that for you.

I hope your trials are behind you and you can remember your DH and DS and all of the wonderful memories you made together.

So good to see a post from you Marlys. I've often wondered how you're doing. Keep fondling the fabric.... it's "healing". :-)

There is always _that_ drawer in every house. You have corks, I know a lady who has keys, and another who has bread wrappers, I've an aunt who has cancelled stamps and another who has pennies. Mine is full of drinking straws and partly used birthday candles. Give it another ten years and I figure I'll either throw one or the other away, or have two drawers.

Howdy!

Oh, this conjures up all kinds of late-night t.v. jokes, but it's not late-night where you are, C, so I looked at this:

Well, I'll know where to put my corks when I send you that box! I'll need to keep four just to avoid the pressure of having to drink four bottles of wine to try you trick! lol

and what, I ask myself, could possibly be wrong with drinking four bottles of wine???
