Help with fonts/words/etc

Hi all! So I didn't really know what to put in the subject. Basically what I haven't figured out is what is the best method (or methods) of getting fancy fonts/words/etc onto a scrapbook page for the title. I know how to do the journal writing but I've seen sample pages with neat titles that look printed on but I'm not sure if they are. I know you can buy alphabet stickers or stamps and do it that way. I guess I just wonder what methods you all use to acheive a look of printed titles without necessarily putting paper through your printer.

Thanks in advance!

I use rub-ons for some of them. I also run through the printer a lot - I don't have a 12x12 printer, but I use this method when my cardstock doesn't have to be a full background. I run it as if it is legal size landscape so I can make the title cross the entire sheet. Sandy

There are some books out there that teach one how to do creative lettering also. They'll have hundreds of ideas to copy for yourself too. I've done a few titles that were fairly easy, but I had did them. Like a Christmas LO I drew the word Christmas to look like it was made out of a string of Christmas lights. Very cute. I got the books off of ebay very cheap.

I do a lot of stamping of letters too. Go to Walmart (sorry Dave teehee) they have some lettering sets for good prices. There are some I really like that look small, but once you stamp them into a scrapbook they are the perfect size. BTW I don't stamp directly into the scrapbook usually too afraid I'll make a mistake. So, I do it on some paper or card stock and then stick it into my scrapbook.

I have usedmy printer, a few rubons, alphabet stickers, stencils with colored markers, small tags with the letters written or stamped on them, and my favorite thing to use for titles is my Sizzix alphabet die cuts! so manydifferent options to choose from...*sigh* LOL

Do you use your Sizzix alot? I've seen those at Michaels but I'm not sure if I'd use it alot. I never thought to use stencils, that's a good idea. I'm a bit afraid of stamping and making a mess out of my page. Lynne had a good suggestion of stamping on a separate paper or cardstock. All good suggestions!

Thanks, Kathy

Kathy, I use my Sizzix quite a bit. I have several alphabet sets and like them a lot.
